- The cost of mental ill health in England is now £105.2 billion a year, according to an update published by the Centre for Mental Health. (page 1)
- Mental health problems are very common. Estimates from research studies suggest that one in four people in the UK experiences a diagnosable mental health problem at some point during their life. (page 5)
- Six out of ten of people (62%) in Great Britain (71% of women and 52% of men) have had at least one time in their life where they have found it difficult to cope mentally, according to the results of an online YouGov poll released by the mental health charity Together. (page 6)
- Of the UK’s 175,000 young carers, over 50,000 – 29% – are estimated to care for a family member with mental health problems. (page 8)
